A couple of weeks ago we posted on our Facebook page a sneak peak of LACMA’s Collectors Committee dinner which we planned and designed (if you haven’t liked our FB page yet, here’s your friendly reminder!) The official photos are in and we wanted to share them with you.
The exclusive Committee dinner included presentations about the works of art proposed for acquisition and was the beginning of a series of events that concluded with the Committee voting on the next piece of art to be featured at LACMA.
After cocktails, guests were welcomed into the dinner tent, which we coined as “dining inside the instrument”. Once inside, they were enveloped by the sound of harp strings being played, which the musicians had attached across the ceiling directly above the dining tables.
The simple, yet elegant environment was paired with cuisine by Chef Christopher Kostow from The Restaurant at Meadowood and exclusive wines from Screaming Eagle. Together they created a delectable tasting menu, which along with the art, was the true highlight of the evening. It was amazing to see Chef Kostow creating his own masterpieces and using every plate as his own canvas.
From the guests’ first impression upon arrival to their very last bite and parting gift, every detail was thought out with the utmost attention.
